Advisory for Indian nationals seeking urgent travel to India
on compelling grounds
Government of India will be facilitating the return of Indian nationals stranded abroad on compelling grounds in a phased manner.
2. Indian nationals in Azerbaijan who seek to travel back to India may please fill the Registration Form and Undertaking (Download here) and mail duly filled form in word document format to our email address: cons.baku@mea.gov.in. The purpose of this Form is only to collect relevant information for planning purposes by the Government of India. This Form is to be filled for each single individual at a time. For the convenience of Indian nationals, Embassy will arrange to provide the printout of the Registration Form and Undertaking submitted by the passengers for their signature before departure.
IMPORTANT :
Embassy of India in Baku has opened registration under 'Vande Bharat Mission' since 07 May 2020 for the stranded Indian nationals in Azerbaijan who seek to travel back to India.
All those, who wish to be repatriated via Baku-Tbilisi by road and Tabilisi- New Delhi by Air India Flight scheduled on 30 June 2020, kindly note that the registration under 'Vande Bharat Mission' as scheduled above, will close by 05.00 PM AZT, 18 June 2020.
Embassy will not be able to entertain any request for repatriation under 'Vande Bharat Mission' after that.
3. Following points may please be noted by those registering to travel to India:
- Medical screening of passengers would be done before boarding the flight and only asymptomatic passengers would be allowed to travel.
- All passengers on arrival in India would be required to undergo medical screening and would have to register on Arogya Setu app.
- All passengers will need to undergo a 14-day mandatory quarantine either in a hospital or in an institutional quarantine on payment basis on arrival in India as per the protocols framed by Government of India. COVID test would be done after 14 days and further action would be taken according to applicable health protocols.
- The cost of travel from designated airport in Azerbaijan to the designated airport in India will be borne by the passenger.
- All passengers would have to follow the protocols and procedures including Health Protocols issued by the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan on departure and by the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Civil Aviation and other concerned authorities of Government of India before, during the journey and on arrival in India. This would include wearing of masks, environmental hygiene, respiratory hygiene, hand hygiene etc., to be observed by all passengers.
- All passengers will be required to sign the Registration Form and an undertaking (Download the undertaking), which will be collected before boarding the flight.
- Incomplete form will not be considered.
