Exclusive India Trade Product Show

The PHD Chamber of Commerce & industry (PHDCCI) of
India is organising the ‘BEST OF INDIA’ - an exclusive Indian Product trade
show and exhibition from 13-16 March 2018 at Amay Centre, Baku. On this
occasion, an India-
Azerbaijan Business Forum consisting of meetings between
the businesses of two countries will be held on 13 March 2018.
These events are being held in the framework of bilateral
business cooperation between India and Azerbaijan and are supported by the Ministry
of Commerce and Industry of the Government of India, and Azerbaijan
Entrepreneurs Confederation (ASK) and the Azerbaijan Republic Chamber of
Commerce and Industry.
During the India- Azerbaijan
Business Forum, the PHD Chamber of
Commerce will sign separate Memorandum of Understanding with Azerbaijan
Entrepreneurs Confederation (ASK), and with the Azerbaijan Republic Chamber of
Commerce and Industry (CCI), for further strengthening their engagement and
enhancing business cooperation, economic and trade relations between India and
Azerbaijan.
The Best of India - An Exclusive India Product exhibition
will have participation of 95 companies from India showcasing high quality Products
and Services including: Electrical & Electronics, Bicycle, Rice, Tea,
Spices, Packaging, Pharmaceuticals, Gifts & Handicrafts, Stationery, Home
Furnishing, Textile & Garments, Jewellery, Cosmetics.
Apart from
business and commerce the event will also focus on portraying the rich India
culture heritage through cultural events, food &, Bollywood festival etc.
all adding to “Best of India” Experience. According to the organizers, all are
invited to visit the ‘Best of India Show’ at Amay Centre, Baku from March 13 –
16, 2018 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and the entry will be free.
India and Azerbaijan enjoy close friendly
relations based on historical links and growing bilateral cooperation. India’s
ONGC-Videsh is an investor in oil and gas sector of Azerbaijan and a partner in
the revised ‘Contract of the Century’ for development of Azeri- Chirag-
Guneshli oil fields signed in September 2017. Besides energy sector,
they have increasing business and
commercial cooperation in Pharmaceutical,
Agriculture, tourism, IT, science & technology, Textile & Garments and
education sectors to name a few. In 2017, India’s export to Azerbaijan has
grown by more than 60% and total bilateral trade between India and Azerbaijan
has reached around USD 462 million. India and Azerbaijan have growing
cooperation in capacity building under the Indian Technical and Economic
Cooperation (ITEC) programme which provides fully paid training programmes for
Azerbaijani professionals and students in Indian institutions.
