The 8th edition of BEST OF INDIA - Biggest Exclusive Indian Product Trade Show has been formally inaugurated jointly by H.E. Mr. B. Vanlalvawna, Ambassador of India to Azerbaijan, H.E. Mr. Firdovsi Aliyev, Deputy Minister of Ecology of the Republic of Azerbaijan andMr. Sanjeev Dhir, Chairman, Wool and Woollens Export Promotion Council (WWEPC), at Baku Sport Hall, on March 26, 2022. #AzadiKaAmritMahotsav 

 

   

 

Under the banner of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav#AzadiKaAmritMahotsav  #AKAM@75 Embassy of India,Baku participated in Novruz festival organized in Gobustan on March 21, 2022 to promote and showcase Indian heritage, textile, musical instruments, Indian rice . Approx. 400 visitors attended the festival.

 

   

 

As a part of #AzadiKaAmritMahotsav  #AKAM@75 Indian Association Azerbaijan in collaboration with Embassy of India organized a cultural event on the occasion of Holi festival on March, 19, 2022.

 

 

As a part of  #AzadiKaAmritMahotsav  #AKAM@75, Embassy of India, Baku in collaboration with Yoga instructor Mr Elchin Guliyev from Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centre Baku organized a Yoga session in the Chancery premises on 15th March 2022.

 

 

 

As a part of celebration of   #AzadiKaAmritMahotsav #AKAM@75, Embassy of India, Baku organized a B2B meeting in hybrid mode on 9 March between Indian and Azerbaijani tour companies.

 

February 2022

Embassy in association with Tea Board of India organized a webinar followed by B2B interactions on Indian Tea and Tea growing States of India on 17th February, 2022. The event was part of the celebrations of 75 years of India's Independence - 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav' and focused states were Assam, West Bengal, Manipur, Himachal Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Kerala. #AmritMahotsav

Embassy of India Baku in collaboration with Indian Association Azerbaijan organized a virtual Art of Living session with the theme" Inner Tranquility through spiritual values" on Feb 13, 2022. #AmritMahotsav

January 2022

As a part of the celebrations of the #73rdRepublicDay of India and #AzadiKaAmritMahotsav Embassy of India Baku in partnership with Hind Hospital, Indian Association of Azerbaijan, Baku Malayalee Association, Azerbaijan Telegu Association and Baku Tamil Sangam organized a “ BLOOD DONATION DRIVE” at Hind Hospital on January 28.

 

     

 

Embassy hosted a reception to celebrate the #73rdRepublicDay  of India at Four season Hotel, Baku on 26 January, 2022. Around 150 dignitaries attended the reception comprising of the diplomatic corps , Officials/Law Makers of Azerbaijan, and prominent members from Indian Diaspora. The Chief Guest of the function was H.E. Mr. Elnur Mammadov, Deputy Foreign Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Embassy of India, Baku celebrated #73rdRepublicDay with hoisting of the National Flag by Ambassador Shri B. Vanlalvawna followed by singing of #Rashtragaan and reading of Hon'ble President’s speech by Ambassador of India.

Vishwa Hindi Diwas was  avidly celebrated including keynote address by Hon'ble MOS Smt. Meenakshi Lekhi and participation from diaspora members and Hindi lovers in Azerbaijan.

#PravasiBharatiyaDiwas was celebrated by Embassy where keynote address by Hon'ble MOS Shri V. Muraleedharan was shown. Ambassador addressed the gathering which saw participation of prominent diaspora members including special remarks from Dr. Rajani C D'Mello, recipient of PBSA.

December 2021

#GoodGovernanceWeek is being observed from 20-26 December 2021 with the motto to redress and dispose of public grievances and improvise service delivery. Towards this, Keynote address from Hon'ble EAM and MOS on Good Governance was screened on 21 Dec 2021.Ambassador also addressed Embassy officials & encouraged them to continue introducing &following #GoodGovernance initiatives & Best Practices for increasing Efficiency in order to create a transparent system, efficient process & smooth governance in office work & service delivery

To commemorate First War of Independence, Embassy of India,Baku streamed the documentary titled "India's Freedom Struggle: Revolt of 1857" on 17 Dec 21.

Commemorating #MahaparinirvanDiwas, documentaries #Panchtirth & #Mooknayak were screened in hybrid mode in Embassy premise & through Embassy FB page @indiainazerbaijan

An interaction on textile heritage of India and Azerbaijan. During the event, khadi and Indian silk products were displayed showcasing India's rich cultural heritage.

November 2021

An event was organized at India House, Baku towards “Celebration of Childhood” which saw participation from several diaspora children with vivid performances like singing, dancing & recitation of poems.

6th Ayurveda Day was celebrated in Baku on Nov. 02. CEO of Avromed, Mr. Kamran Agasi gave a talk on the benefits of Ayurveda and opportunities offered by wellness centers of India.

Later on the day, presentations were made in celebration of Kashi Utsav, Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas, Rajbhasha commemoration and Communal Harmony Diwas. A short video on the life event of Bhagwan Birsa Munda was also played during the commemoration.

 

October 2021

Embassy celebrated #RashtriyaEktaDiwas on 31 Oct 21 with diaspora members and friends of India by remembering the life and legacy of #SardarVallabhbhaiPatel Earlier Ambassador administered pledge on #RashtriyaEktaDiwas to Embassy officials. #AmritMahotsav.

Embassy in association with EEPC organized Webinar & B2B meeting on Engineering Products in hybrid mode on 26 Oct 21 Participants got insights of Indian engineering industry with huge scope for diversifying India's economic engagement with Azerbaijan. #AmritMahotsav

To encourage more participation in the Online Global Poster and Painting Competition 2021 announced by the ICCR, New Delhi, Embassy of India organized an event on 24 October 2021 to display the paintings/posters and felicitate the participants.
